ManageUDA MICR Cheque Printing Explained

Bundled within Rent Magic’s ManageUDA Enterprise Edition is the capability of printing MICR encoded cheques. MICR stands for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition and simply refers to those square-looking numbers and symbols that you will find at the bottom of any cheque. With this capability, you can actually print an entire cheque through the software without having to pay for preprinted cheque templates.

It has recently been reported that the January through December 2015 rent increase guideline will be 1.6 percent. While many were hoping for a higher increase, at the very least, it is twice the allowable amount from the current 2014 increase of only 0.8%. Whenever you have a scenario that will allow you to increase more in the upcoming year a little analysis is in order. You see, the Ontario guideline allows a landlord to increase every 12 months. However, if you choose to delay the increase, that is your right.

What's happening?

Rent Magic Software will be releasing a new version of ManageUDA Online and On-Premise that includes a new look and will have major enhancements in functionality. It will allow more modules to be open at once, while keeping things very orderly via a clever tabbing system.

When is it coming?

While we do not have a firm date of release, we expect to deploy it early Fall 2012.
